What are IV Drips?
IV drips are a method of delivering hydration, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream. This bypasses the digestive system and allows for faster and more effective absorption.
How long does an IV drip take?
IV drips typically take 45-60 minutes to administer, depending on the specific drip and your individual needs. Some IV Drips can take longer, such as NAD+, which can take up to 3 hours to administer.
Is there any pain or discomfort during the IV drip?
You may feel a slight pinch or discomfort when the needle is inserted, but this should subside quickly. During the drip, you may feel a cooling or warming sensation, but most people find the experience relaxing.
Are IV Drips for everyone?
There are many uses for IV Therapy. However, it is not for everyone. For people who are pregnant, breastfeeding of trying to conceive, we don’t recommend IV Therapy. For people with complex medical conditions or concerns, we recommend you speak with your primary care doctor prior to receiving IV Therapy. Yes, we offer customised IV drips where you can explore which vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are included based on your specific needs and concerns. Our team of health professionals will conduct a detailed assessment and work with you to determine which nutrients are best for your individual case.
Is there a limit to how many vitamins and nutrients I can have in my IV drip?
Yes, there are limits to how much of each nutrient can be safely included in an IV drip, and which nutrients can and cannot be mixed in the same infusion. Our registered healthcare professionals will work with you to create a safe and effective treatment plan based on your individual needs.
How soon will I feel the effects of an IV drip?
The effects of an IV drip can vary depending on the specific drip and your individual factors. Some people may feel immediate effects, while others may notice a gradual improvement over time. Multiple treatments may be required to achieve the desired effect.
Can I receive an IV drip if I have a medical condition or take medication?
It depends on your specific medical condition and medications. We recommend that you consult with your regular healthcare provider(s) before receiving an IV Drip to ensure that you’re a candidate if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, medical concerns or take medications.
What are the risks and complications associated with IV therapy?
While IV therapy is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, there are some potential risks and complications that can occur as with any medical procedure. These may include bruising or bleeding at the injection site, infection, allergic reaction, fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and vein inflammation or damage. Risks, side effects and complications will be discussed with you at your consultation. Our team have protocols to mitigate and address any rare complications which may arise. It's important to discuss any concerns with a healthcare professional before undergoing IV therapy and to ensure that the treatment is performed by a trained and qualified practitioner. All treatments at Elevate IV Drips are performed by qualified Registered Nurses.
Do you offer group bookings?
Yes, we offer group bookings for our IV therapy services. Our mobile service can come to your home, office, or hotel to provide the IV therapy services for your group.
Where is your mobile service available?
Our mobile service is currently available in the Sydney area, but we are expanding our service area.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24-hour notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total service fee or a forfeiture of your deposit.
Do you charge extra for your mobile service?
No! However, there is an additional fee for travel beyond 25 minutes driving from Sydney CBD. Also, any parking fines incurred during the visit will be passed on to the customer. Get in touch to find out what the fee is for your location if you’re further than 25 minutes driving from Sydney CBD. Note that we can often waive this fee for group bookings.
